Free programs at the Baltimore County Public Library’s North Point branch, 1716 Merritt Blvd. (Info: 410-887-7255)

•   Unplugged, a venue for youths ages 11 to 17 to share poetry and other creative skills, meets Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.
•   Intro to Social Networking, a class on the basics of Facebook, Twitter and Flickr for patrons ages 13 and older, meets Monday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. Participants must have existing email accounts. Registration required.
•   Let’s Talk about Books, a book discussion group, is set for Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. Call before the meeting to receive necessary preparation info.
•   Knit and Stitch, a drop-in knitting and crocheting group for patrons ages 13 and older, meets Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All levels of experience welcome. Bring your own projects or get ideas from the library’s large selection of craft books. This is not a class, but group leader Paula Dixon can answer basic questions.
•  The Magic of Reading, a Willy Woo Woo magic show with rabbits, ducks and birds, for youths of all ages, is set for Saturday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. Children 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required.
•  North Point Library   is open Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. until April 28, 2013.
•  Preschool Story Time for children ages 2 to 5 with an adult meets Wednesdays, Nov. 14 and 21, at 10 a.m. Activities include stories and songs, followed by play time.
•  Baby Boosters Story Time for infants and toddlers 23 months and younger with an adult meets Wednesdays, Nov. 14 and 21, at 11 a.m. Activities include stories, music, movement and rhyme, followed by play time. Registration is required.
•  Computer Room for independent work in a quiet environment for patrons ages 13 and older is open Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
