Del. John Olszewski Jr. and his friend, Paul Latanishen, a Patapsco High graduate and current Patapsco teacher, drove to Foxborough on Sunday to watch the Baltimore Ravens upset the New England Patriots 28-13 and earn a spot in next week’s Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers. According to Latanishen, the trip was a spur-of-the-moment idea: they decided the Friday before the game that, both being married and having recently turned 30, they had to grab this opportunity because they couldn’t know when they would ever have the chance again. Latanishen, right, is shown standing with the mother of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice, who was sitting a few seats away; Olszewski is shown celebrating as the Ravens took control of the game in the second half. “We got heckled quite a lot before and during the game,” Latanishen said. “But afterwards, the New England fans were very congratulatory. It was a great place to watch a football game, and a better place to watch your football team win.”
