In December, Holabird Middle School sixth-graders celebrated their completion of the DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program. Started in 1983, DARE teaches children how to say no to drugs and alcohol and addresses issues such as peer pressure and bullying. Proudly posing at the DARE graduation were (front, from left) Makayla Dejarnette, James Rudolph, Tyler Sommerville, (back) Paige Housley, Officer J. Preet, Daren the DARE mascot and Dalya Zahid.
