Public comment sought on Baltimore County housing plans

    Residents of Baltimore County are invited to attend a public meeting on housing and community development  plans on Wednesday, May 1, at 6 p.m. in the Planning Department Hearing Room, 105 West Chesapeake Ave. in Towson.
    The meeting will be held by the Baltimore County Division of Neighborhood Improvement, the county Department of Planning and the county Housing Office.
    During the meeting, the public will be invited to offer comment on the Public Housing Agency’s five-year plan and the county’s Annual Action Plan for 2014.
    The plans discuss affordable housing, fair housing, rental assistance, homelessness, crime prevention, infrastructure improvements and other issues.
    The Public Housing Agency five-year plan is available online at www.baltimorecountymd.gov/Agencies/socialservices/housingassistance/ or at any county library.
    The Annual Action Plan is available online at www.baltimorecountymd.gov/Agencies/neighborhoodimprovement/index.html or at any county library.
    The public comment period on the Public Housing Agency plan runs through  Thursday, May 16, while the comment period on the Annual Action Plan ends on Wednesday, May 15.
