•   Preschool Story Time for children 2 to 5 years old with an adult meets Tuesdays, Aug. 6 and 13, at 10:30 a.m. Activities include stories, songs and bouncing, followed by play time. Registration required.
•   Baby Boosters Story Time for infants and toddlers ages 23 months and younger with an adult meets Tuesdays, Aug. 6 and 13, at 11:30 a.m. Activities include movement, rhymes, stories and music, followed by play time. Registration is required.
•   Video gaming for teens, a venue for playing Super Mario Bros., Just Dance and other Wii games, meets Thursdays,  Aug. 1, 8 and 15, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Registration required.

•    Dog safety session for youths with Ann Gearhart and her dog, Spirit, will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, at 2 p.m.
•    Computer know-how basic skills session for patrons ages 13 and older is set for Monday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m.
•    Anime and Manga Night for youths to draw and discuss manga and view anime, Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 p.m.
•    Lego Fun for children ages 6 to 12 is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. Lego blocks provided. Participants younger than 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration required.
•    Hobbit Night for patrons ages 9 to 14 is set for Monday, Aug. 5, at 6:30 p.m. Activities include Hobbit riddles, drawing games, Tolkien trivia and more.
•    Microwave cooking for teens will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 2 p.m.

•    Thursday Knit and Stitch, a drop-in knitting and crocheting group for patrons ages 13 and older, meets Thursdays, Aug. 8 and 15,  from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. All levels of experience welcome. Bring your own projects or get ideas from the library’s large selection of craft books. This is not a class, but group leader Paula Dixon can answer basic questions.
•    Computer Room for independent work in a quiet environment for patrons ages 13 and older is open Thursdays from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
