Jake Rusnak, a seven-year-old Beach Drive resident who is in the second grade at St. Casimir School, swam 100 laps without stopping on Oct. 5 at the Y of Central Maryland swim center in Dundalk. Rusnak swam that distance to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland and the Y of Central Maryland’s Send a Kid to Camp program. Jake, who only has one kidney, raised over $2,200 in pledges by completing his 100-lap swim.  Jake finished the 1.4-mile swim in one hour, eight minutes and seven seconds after covering the first mile in 48 minutes and 34 seconds.
