Flooding in Millers Island
Wednesday, 19 September 2012 12:22

With severe weather on Tuesday, Millers Island had six inches of water on some roads by early afternoon, and there was concern as high tide approached.
According to Elise Armacost from Baltimore County Public Safety, the water was in the roadways Tuesday night, which was expected. However; the water subsided and the area was back to normal on Wednesday morning.
"The folks on Millers Island are pretty used to this kind of thing," Armacost said in a statement. "This event wasn't particularly unusual for them."

Heavy weather approached the North Point Peninsula on Tuesday as The Eagle was going to press; rising waters in Millers Island were already crashing over the shore (top), flooding streets (middle) and threatening houses.
