Dundalk Chamber Golf Tourney Raises Scholarship Funds

   More than 130 golfers took part in the 6th Annual Dundalk Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament at Sparrows Point Country Club July 22. The event included raffles and contests throughout the day along with breakfast, lunch and dinner and ended with an awards presentation.

Contest winners earned trophies and the top three foursomes took home trophies along with monetary prizes. The yearly tourney is held to raise scholarship funds for local students to attend the Community College of Baltimore County. According to organizers, this year’s tournament raised about $20,000 for the CCBC Foundation’s Dundalk scholarship fund.

Bragging rights for the top foursome went to the Tirschman Pallet Co. team (from left) Brian Harring, Bob Eltringham, Vic Fiorenza and Chris Seebach. 

Second-place finishers on the Toland/Costa’s Inn team included (from left) Dan Toland, Peter Kazakos, Peter Triantafilos and Mike Brengle. 

 

Third-place finishers playing for M&T Bank included (from left) Jim Neaf, Doug Thompson, Tom Thompson and Jim Frank.    

George Divel, playing for Global Wealth Management, was closest to the pin in the men’s competition.

Mike Bisset of the Thompson Automotive team won the  men’s putting contest.

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center’s Beth Rosborough hit the women’s longest drive.

Gayle Adams of Bayview (left) won the women’s putting contest and was presented with her prize by Community College of Baltimore County  President Sandra Kurtinitis.

CCBC’s Carol Eustis earned a big hug from tourney organizer Woody Powell after winning the women’s closest to the pin contest.
