Navy blimp just hangin’ out overhead

The U.S. Navy blimp that has spent the past week hovering over Baltimore and occasionally passing through Dundalk airspace is reportedly testing aerial mapping equipment for the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.

That, of course, could be just what they want us to believe. On the other hand, it’s not a black airship and it clearly has “U.S. Navy” printed on the side. Then again, that’s just what they would do to throw off suspicion. The blimp, the only one still operated by the Navy, is based at Naval Air Station Patuxent River and is expected to be roaming our skies until Oct. 5. Maybe.
