Julienne “Judy” Post Brownrigg

    Former Dundalk resident and veteran teacher Julienne Post Brownrigg died Nov. 25 after a long illness in Los Angeles, her home since 2006. She was 71.
    A native of Washington, D.C., she grew up in Herndon, Va., and graduated with a degree in education from Shepherd University in 1966.
    She moved to Dundalk in the same year with her marriage to former husband Peter Browrigg, who survives her. She taught English at Sparrows Point High School and was chosen Teacher of the Year in 2006, the year she retired.
    She attended Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Dundalk.
    Along with her former husband, son Peter John Brownrigg and brother Nelson J. Post Jr. survive her. She was preceded in death by daughter Heather Kendall Brownrigg.
    “She devoted her life to her children, students and pets,” a loved one euglogized. “She will be deeply missed.”
